Holden recalled 2019-20 Astra, Commodore

Holden recently issued a recall notice for the 2019-20 model-year Astra and Commodore, for the concern related to the rear seat cross member. According to the firm, "the rear seat cross member could have been improperly welded to the seat frame. If a car with the issue is involved in a rear-end accident, there's an increased risk passenger will be injured”.

A VIN list of total 131 vehicles is provided by the automaker, which may get affected by the aforementioned defect. Holden Australia requests the vehicle owners to contact their nearest dealer and schedule an appointment for inspection and repair of their vehicle free of cost.

If we talk about the Holden Astra engine specs, the car is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine producing 148 PS of power at 5000 rpm and 240 Nm of peak torque between 2400-4800 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and torque converters. Holden Commodore, on the other hand, is powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 259 PS of power at 5500 rpm and 350 Nm of torque from 3000 to 4000 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

• Mercedes-Benz recalled 21 Mercedes-Benz A-Class (2018-19) due to concerns regarding the protective plate under the spare wheel of the vehicle. 
• Mercedes-Benz also recalled 875 Sprinter (2019) van due to concerns regarding the proper functionality of the tail-lights.
• Hyundai recently issued a recall notice Venue, Elantra, and Ioniq Electric for the model year 2019 due to a problem related to the wheel nuts. 
• Toyota recalled 2001-03 Avensis, 2001-07 Corolla, and 2006-11 Toyota Yaris Sedan because of faulty airbags.
• Mazda recalled 3 sedan, 6 sedan, CX-5 due to carbon accumulation problem in the engine.
