Once you get inside the cabin, you start to realize how amazing it feels. Though the features are not extremely plush, the way everything is put up imparts an amazing feeling. The tailgate also has the power feature and does not require hand operation.

The Holden Commodore Sportswagon does manage to impress the drivers with its punchy engine which kicks off right from the lower engine RPMs. The car feels very nimble despite its big size. Plus, handling it is very simple as easy as the steering is very light and has amazing feedback for the person handling it.

However, things change a little when it comes to the other tit-bits. Though there are a lot of things to like in the cabin, like the dual-zone automatic climate control and adjustable lumbar support, the hard plastics will tend to put you off. Plus, the lack of navigation does hurt a lot.

The Holden Commodore Sportswagon has a couple of engine options available. The standard engine is a 2.0-litre turbocharged mill, which comes in both diesel and petrol options. The power is sent down to the front wheels either by a 9-speed or an 8-speed automatic gearbox, the latter being offered in the diesel option.

On the other hand, the Sportswagon RSV comes with a more powerful 3.6-litre V6 engine, which is naturally-aspirated. For the power transmission, there is a 9-speed automatic transmission, while the drivetrain is an intelligent adaptive all-wheel-drive. Hence, irrespective of what variant you choose, the power delivery is very apt for an exciting drive.

What the buyers will love in the Holden Commodore Sportswagon is the autonomous emergency braking. This is an intelligent adaptive braking feature that is found in premium cars only. Other safety features include blind zone detection, forward collision alert, pedestrian detection and automatic headlights with a feature for tunnel detection.

Inside the cabin, there are six airbags available to provide overall safety to the occupants. Moreover, the seatbelts are given the pre-tensioner and load limiter features.

The Holden Commodore Sportswagon is one of the most amazing cars in the available price range. However, the only things that might pull it back are the hard plastic bits in the cabin, feature-rich infotainment and a small boot. Hence, if you are ready to overlook these minor flaws, the Sportswagon is a great option to go for.
