Facelifted Holden Equinox leaked ahead of its official debut

Pictures of the facelifted Holden Equinox for the Chinese market have been accidentally revealed. The images have been published by a Chinese media, auto.sina.com, ahead of Equinox’s arrival.

The 2020 variant of the Equinox represents changes in its exterior. Previously, the two base models (LS, LS+) were discontinued towards the end of 2019.

The facelifted Holden Equinox is set to hit the showroom floors in later of 2020. As per the pictures, the car sports a tweaked grille instead of its traditional grille. The front end flaunts a pair of new split headlights along with fresh tail-lights. Other changes include a redesigned bumper and exhaust outlets along with crisp graphics.

Speaking of mechanical bits, Equinox retains the 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 170 hp alongside a peak torque of 275 Nm, 1.6-litre diesel engine generating 135 hp/ 320 Nm and a 252 hp/ 353 Nm petrol engine. The entire range of engines includes turbocharged four-cylinder units.

No details have been revealed about the inside of the car, but the facelifted variant can be expected to share similar interior features as its previous lineup. The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone mirroring is considered as standard across the facelifted range.

The safety feature of the Holden Equinox might also retain its predecessors six airbags, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and power-folding mirrors.
