The petrol engine can deliver the power of 184 kW and torque of 365 Nm, while the diesel engine can make the power of 132 kW and torque of 430 Nm. Velar SE and R-Dynamic SE are available with P300 2.0L i4 petrol and D240 2.0L i4 diesel engines. P300 can make 221 kW of power and 400 Nm torque, and D240 can produce 177 kW of power and 500 Nm of peak torque. Velar HSE and R-Dynamic HSE are available with more powerful engine options that include P380 3.0L V6 petrol and D300 3.0L V6 diesel. The petrol one can produce power and torque of 280 kW and 450 Nm respectively. And, the diesel engine can deliver the power of 221 kW and torque of 700 Nm. Apart from these, the top-trim Velar SV Autobiography Dynamic comes paired with the most powerful 5.0L V8 petrol engine that is made up of lightweight aluminium. It can produce the maximum power of 405 kW and torque of 680 Nm.

All the variants of Land Rover Range Rover Velar except the top trim are paired with 325 mm ventilated disc brakes in the front and 350 mm in rear wheels. While the SV Autobiography Dynamic comes paired with 395 mm ventilated disc brakes in both front and rear wheels. Apart from this, most of the brake and driver assistance features are standard across the Velar’s lineup. Like you’ll get EBD, ABS, Emergency Brake Assist, Lane Keep Assist, traffic sign recognition, adaptive speed limiter, and six airbags.
