Toyota Land Cruiser 200

Popularly known as the 'King of four-wheel drives', the Toyota Land Cruiser is running into its fifth generation, and despite its age, it remains the first choice for serious four-wheel drivers. The 200-Series LandCruiser is available in four model grades – GX, GXL, VX and Sahara. The base variant, five-seater GX, is only available with a 4.5-litre V8 twin-turbo-diesel engine that makes 200kW of max power and a peak torque of 650Nm, while the upper trims give a choice of either a 4.6-litre V8 petrol unit, with seven or eight seats depending on the engine. A six-speed automatic is the only transmission choice. Inside the cabin, there's plenty of leather plus piano black, faux woodgrain and brushed alloy trim across the dash and the door. Both driver and front passenger seats are heated and ventilated, wrapped in high-quality leather. With a towing capacity of 3,500kgs, the Land Cruiser 200 makes a good option for mining, forestry and emergency services fleets. The infotainment includes a large 8.0-inch colour touchscreen with integrated satellite navigation, complemented by twin displays and good quality nine-speaker sound system. Other features on the GX include Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Bluetooth connectivity, Vehicle Stability Control, and eight SRS airbags.
