A few months ago, Hyundai recalled the 2019 model year Kona due to an incorrectly fit brake tube. The firm explained the defect as the vehicles may not have the front brake tube fitted correctly during assembly. The tube may come in contact with the exhaust system and the braking performance could be compromised and can result in fire. The recall affected a total of 6084 vehicles which were sold from the 20th April 2018 to 8th March 2019. However, it was replaced by the authorized dealers free of cost.
