Audi A3 S Line Plus edition released, price starts from $43,300

Audi has come up with an all-new edition of its A3 model in the Australian market. The version is named as A3 Line Plus and offers multiple upgraded specs to the customers.

The new A3 S Line Plus package is available on 35 TFSI, 40 TFSI and 40 TFSI Quattro variants of all the A3 body styles - sedan, sportback hatch, and cabriolet. On the pricing front, it adds up to $11,000 worth of equipment on the ongoing versions.

Shawn Ticehurst, director for product planning and pricing at Audi Australia said, "The improvement in value that these special editions now highlight Audi's sporty nature perfectly while upping the ante with a new level of infotainment, comfort and safety technology features that makes the A3 an even more compelling package.”

Audi A3 S Line Plus comprises of the following latest technical specs and styling as standard appointments:

• S line exterior package
• Virtual Cockpit
• MMI Navigation plus 
• keyless entry with push-button start
• 18-inch dynamic design alloy wheels
• blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert

If the customer opts for Audi A3 40 TFSI models, the new package incorporates:

• Audi phone box for wireless smartphone charging
• Electronic or heated adjustable front seats 
• Auto folding side mirrors
• LED headlights and tail-lights

In spite of industry slow-down, the Audi A3 keeps up the numbers high so far. In the premium small market, it is just behind the Mercedes-Benz A-Class by few numbers. As Audi has sold 297 units in September in comparison to 307 units of A-Class. While year to date sales are 2541 units and 3661 units respectively.

Audi A3 S Line Plus engine bay offers two options: 1.4-litre turbo 35 TFSI producing 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque, and 2.0-litre turbo 40 TFSI delivering 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque.
