Audi TT Review 2024
When it comes to sporty coupes and roadsters, the German companies are going great guns. The Audi TT, for example, has been in the race for a long time in the Australian market and managed to create a fan base with its TTS and RS models. The company has even been working hard on updating the model and has revealed the pricing of the 2020 iteration recently.
The Audi TT and TTS boast on a powerful and roaring engine under the hood and performance that could throw a fit. However, being one among many in the highly competitive segment, the pricing of the car plays a huge role.

Audi TT Interior & Features
Just like you would expect a coupe to be, the Audi TT exhibits a very sporty cabin, albeit not the most spacious. It has sporty front seats with head restraints and 4-way electric lumbar support. The front seats are heated as well and offer optimum comfort. As for the upholstery, there are three different types of leather used, Alcantara, Milano and Nappa.
The infotainment system has fine connectivity with smartphones, thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An 8-speaker audio system is standard, while a better 14-channel Bang and Olufsen system is offered as an option.
TT Exterior
The Audi TT roadster coupe is a well-crafted car with the perfect balance of edginess and rounded corners. The long and bulgy bonnet has a couple of defining lines. The shoulder line is rounded and is carried over to the rear tail section.
The Audi TT gets three wheels options - 18-inch, 19-inch and 20-inch. However, just two tyre options fit them - 245-section and 255-section. There are standard Audi LED headlights offered, though the Matrix LED package is given as optional. All the windows get a dark tinted glass for better privacy and insulation. The rear section gets LED lights and sporty exhaust tips.
Audi TT Ride & Handling
The Audi TT is not the most powerful car from the company's shed. However, the power is channelled to the wheels is commendable. But again, this seems like an overcompensation as the ride quality turns out to be too firm and less fun.
The coupe can hit the 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 5.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250 kmph. The Quattro all-wheel-drive is very compliant with the S Tronic gearbox and works super smooth with ample torque delivery on all the wheels.
TT Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Audi TT has just one engine option on offer. However, if you opt for the sportier TTS model, you will get a more potent mill. The base engine is a 45 TFSI, 4-cylinder petrol engine of 2.0-litre capacity. This engine is capable of churning out a maximum power of 169 kW at 4,500 RPM and a peak torque of 370 Nm, which comes between 1,600 RPM and 4,300 RPM. The produced power is transferred to the wheels with the help of a 6-speed S Tronic gearbox.
Audi TT Braking & Safety
The Audi TT has a total of six safety airbags - front, side and curtain units. The steering wheel is also progressive and not over-responsive to avoid tipping over at high speeds. There is also an electronic stabilisation control, that is given along with electronic wheel-selective torque control. There is an active bonnet and hold assist as well, just to enhance the driver’s convenience.
As for braking, there are disc brakes for all the wheels along with an anti-lock braking system. There is also the electronic brakeforce distribution and brake assist on offer. Seat belt reminder is a standard fitment for all the variants and all occupants.
TT Verdict
The Audi TT is a very potent roadster coupe. It is decently powerful and responsive. However, the higher sibling, the TTS is a more powerful version and boasts on better fitments. Yet, considering the price at which the base model is sold, there is barely anything to complain about, making it one of the best options in the given segment.
