2019 Nissan X-Trail pricing and specs revealed

Nissan Australia has brought a special edition for its hot-selling X-Trail SUV in the country. The new edition is named as X-Trail N-Trek, and it sits between the flagship Ti version and mid-spec ST-L trim. It features front as well as all-wheel-drive configuration and houses the seating capacity of 5 persons. Besides adding the new variant, the brand also rose the prices of all the variants by $300 - $400 for the model year 2019.

If we talk about the X-Trail N-Trek specs, it receives the following appointments over the ST-L trim:

• A Bose 8-speaker audio system
• 19-inch alloy wheels
• Bonnet protector
• Front and rear weather shields
• Front and rear kick plates
• Carpet mats

Other than these, the X-Trail special edition has the following features inside the cabin:

• A 7.0-inch touchscreen
• Digital radio
• Leather-accented seat trim
• Satellite navigation with traffic monitoring
• Dual-zone climate control

In terms of safety, the N-trek is loaded with a 360-degree camera, blind-spot warning, cross-traffic alert, and autonomous emergency braking,

This is not the first time when the firm added a special edition to its aging model, and now it becomes a successful strategy. For instance, Nissan added 600-strong X-Trail ST-L N-Sport range in July last year, and as per the firm, it was “a fast sell-out”.

The mechanical bits of the new edition are the same. It comes with three engine choices-

• 2.0-litre manual produces 144 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque,
• 2.5-litre with CVT makes 171 PS of power and 226 Nm of torque  
• 2.0-litre diesel variant delivers 176 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque
