Nissan Juke

From inside, Juke might not be the best SUV, there’s a lot of experiments with plastic. The central console is styled like a fuel tank of a motorcycle, and the infotainment system is quite small. But, being a compact SUV, it gives you a high seating position, that’s complemented by versatile seat configuration. Juke gives you comfortable seats, good headroom, and legroom for both front and second-row passengers. The base grade misses some of the important features like, pockets behind seats, and heated front seat function can only be equipped with the top two trims. Coming to the interior capacity of Juke, it has a boot capacity of 354 litres and with seats folded it extends to 1189 litres. 

It can be said that this car looks distinctive than other sub-compact SUVs’. Juke displays a bold front stance that is complemented by double light treatment, elevated hood, dark chrome V-motion front grille, and boasted body size. In terms of features, it gives you auto-off headlights, chrome exhaust tailpipe finisher, Taillights with LED signature, LED foglights and daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels in the base grade, and Ti-S models come with 18-inch black gloss alloy wheels. 

Coming to the driving of Juke, being a compact-SUV it reasonably drives much better. The steering is well-tuned and crafted especially for the Australian roads, Juke delivers a smooth ride on odd roads. With the top variant T-Si, instead of the traditional All-Wheel Drive system, you’ll get distribute torque-vectoring AWD that balances power side-to-side to the rear wheels. That is much helpful while cornering, as the outer wheels get more power and make it easier for taking sharp turns while accelerating. The suspension of Juke is a bit harsher, and that might disappoint you while driving on rough roads. 

The base grade of Juke is powered by 1.2L engine mated with 6-speed manual transmission. And, the mid-variant is coupled with a 1.6L engine and 6-speed manual transmission. Whereas the top trim that offers four-wheel-drive comes with 1.6L engine and Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission with manual mode. The 1.6-litre petrol engine is no doubt the most powerful in its class, it can churn out the power of 140kW and torque of 240Nm, plus it can reach from 0–100 km/h in just 7 seconds. Moreover, with the Nissan Dynamic Control system, you can choose from three modes - Normal, Eco, and Sport as per the driving conditions. 

Juke is a fun-to-drive SUV that gets better with advanced safety features. This car can be a perfect companion for a small family, it has collision sensitive door lock system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection, and blind-spot warning function. Moreover, in the front wheels, you’ll get ventilated disc brakes whereas, in the rear wheels, Juke comes equipped with disc brakes. 

Nissan Juke is a fancy SUV, it comes with extraordinary design and looks. This car features a new class of personality that other cars lack. From the design perspective, Juke is not a conventional SUV, rather its unique, it’s designed to catch the attention while moving. The interiors of Juke is well-crafted and infused with futuristic craftings. Plus, there’s plenty of space of passengers and cargo. However, the suspension is not up to the mark, and this might be a discomfort for many of the buyers out there.
