Toyota 86

Toyota 86 is co-developed with Subaru and is currently sold as Subaru BRZ. It was also previously sold as under the Scion nameplate as the FRS. However, the Scion got axed and is no longer a company, which means this car falls under the Toyota nameplate as the GT. This car is designed to deliver raw power. If you want to anticipate every twist and turn on the road, then this car is for you.

Talking about the exterior, the front has its own unique design. It has full LED headlights to your high beams, low beams, fog lamps, day time running lights and even the turn signals. It gets rear decklid spoiler, which is finished in matte. Moving towards rest of the back end, you have a slightly chubbier exhaust and the new tail lamps. These tail lamps make this thing look so much better than the old FRS. Coming to the trunk, you get a decent amount of space and a spare tyre underneath. The brief aerodynamic lines of 86 are meant to slice through the air, with every portion molded to improve the impressive performance and head-turning appearances. The audio system includes 6 speakers and 6.1 inches touchscreen audio featuring iPod and Bluetooth capabilities.

Moving into the interior, you have the nicest Toyota offering of the interior such as leather and suede seats. You get a nice and small sporty steering wheel. There are aluminium pedals on offer. This car features an LCD instrument cluster, which has a really cool power band graph and G meters. The touch screen infotainment system is more or less mediocre. Toyota 86 comes with a rearview camera that is housed in the rearview mirror. 

Opening the hood, you get a 2L four-cylinder boxer engine putting out a maximum power of 205 hp. It has a D4 Sport and direct injection system that was also provided by Toyota in the boxer engine of Subaru. The power is transmitted to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. This beast comes with Torsen limited-slip rear differential that maximises traction by allotting power to the drive wheel, with the exceptional amount of grip. This car features unique 16 inches alloy wheels that are fitted as standard on the GT, extending to 17 inches on the GTS and a bizarre set of 17 inches alloys highlights in the optional dynamic performance pack.

The stopping power comes from a variety of advanced braking technologies along with the extension of ventilated rear disc brakes on the GTS performance pack. It also comes implemented with both driver and passenger seat-mounted side airbags and rear side curtain airbags for further protection.
