Subaru BRZ

Keeping up the performance of the car, Subaru has smartly designed the interiors. With low and accentuated bucket seats, along with with the three-spoke cross-stitched steering wheel, shifter and pedals, BRZ animates the sports cockpit. It’s a four-seater coupe, but rear seats are of no use except you can fold them to maximize the cargo capacity. BRZ’s cabin is equipped with the latest tech, you’ll get 7-inch LCD touchscreen with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. 

2019 BRZ is 166.9 inches long, exactly 10 inches longer than Mazda’s MX-5 which has a length of around 156 inches. The exteriors of BRZ goes right with its class of sports coupe, it’s a beautiful car created with matchless design. With smart functions like self-levelling LED light with auto-off, and well-defined body cuts to the LED daytime running lights and front fog lights give it a distinct yet attractive look. In the rear, it features LED combination lights and stoplight that completes the appearance of this car from front to the rear. 

Equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip differential that enhance the handling and driveability of Subaru BRZ. Moreover, with the horizontally-opposed Boxer engine, it helps in lowering the centre of gravity. Hence provides you with better handling and grip. Even while taking the sharp turns, BRZ holds the adhesive connection with the road. Subaru also offers an optional performance package that includes upgraded suspension, exclusive and wider wheels and tires, Brembo brakes.

BRZ ‘s engine effectively helps in delivering optimum power, handling and grippy ride while taking sharp turns. The reason behind that is the 2.0L Boxer engine is placed flat in the cradle that helps in lowering the centre of gravity. Moreover, this engine features both direct and port injection technology. It can produce a maximum power of 152kW at 7000rpm and torque of 212Nm at 6400–6800rpm when matched with 6-speed manual transmission. When equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission the power and torque output drops a little. And with automatic BRZ, you’ll get maximum power of 147kW at 7000rpm and torque of 205Nm at 6400–6600rpm. 

In the front and rear tyres ventilated disc brakes are installed, along with a single 10.5-inch brake booster that enhances the braking capacity of the BRZ. To make its braking intact, Subaru has coupled it with four-channel and four-sensor ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. Like other Subaru vehicles, BRZ has also earned 5-start ANCAP ratings. But, it lacks the integration of Eyesight technology, that could have added more value in making rides safer. 

In 2019, BRZ is one of the most affordable and fuel-efficient sports coupes out there. Subaru has refurbished the exterior and interior looks and design of this car. And, have equipped it with the latest infotainment tech to keep up with the buyers of 2019. But, its sporty design might trick you. BRZ is quick but not fast enough because it lacks the power of sports car. However, with this price range, it goes fine. Though surely, BRZ is not made for racing purpose. Apart from this, rear seats are useless, they don’t add any value to the comfort of the passengers sitting there. But alternatively can be folded to enhance the boot space.
