2020 Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior has arrived, price starts at $62,990
To give the likes of the Toyota Hilux Rugged X, HSV Colorado SportsCat, and the Ford Ranger Raptor some tough time in the market, Nissan has unleashed the 2020 Navara N-Trek Warrior. The locally modified Japanese pickup truck gets a starting drive-away price of $62,990, which makes it up to $20,000 cheaper than the Ford Ranger Raptor, and from $2000 to $10,000 less expensive than the HSV Colorado SportsCat.
The price, however, does not include the $550 that you will need to shell out more for the grey and white metallic paint schemes. But if you like the black metallic paint more than the grey and white ones, the option comes at no additional cost. Also, the drive-away price of $62,990 is for the Nissan Navara Warrior six-speed manual, whereas the seven-speed auto is up for grabs with a drive-away price of $65,490. Although the Toyota Hilux Rugged X can't be put against the 2020 Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior directly due to the pickup not featuring dedicated tyres, suspension setup, and improved ground clearance, the Navara N-Trek Warrior is cheaper than the former with the HiLux starting at $63,990 drive-away.
The best part of the deal is that it is now available for private buyers as well, unlike the previous occasions when the super-sharp drive-away prices were only available for ABN holders. Just like the HSV Colorado SportsCat and the Toyota Hilux Rugged X, the 2020 Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior is also a locally modified pickup truck with folks from the Melbourne-based Premcar working on making the Japanese pickup even more capable and badass. While the HSV Colorado SportsCat is available only at 65 of the 200 Holden dealerships across the geography of Australia, the likes of the Toyota Hilux Rugged X, 2020 Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior, and the Ford Ranger Raptor can be had any authorised dealership.
"We fought very hard to get the price right. There is so much demand in the ute market just above the $60,000 price range that we had to land there. This is clearly the sweet spot for buyers of top-end utes and we wanted to make this offer available to retail buyers and ABN holders. We wanted to produce an Australian-market specific, adventure-oriented vehicle that can cope with our terrain, our climate and our driving expectations, for the booming premium dual-cab ute market. This new top-end segment seeks higher specification, higher capability and higher visibility and is expected to show significant growth in 2020 and beyond", said Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester.
