Mazda BT-50

The all-new Mazda BT-50 resembles the bold front design of SUVs’. Fulfilling the long-desired needs of ute drivers it now comes loaded with better connectivity, and standard reversing camera, a longer service interval that ultimately makes it one of the value-efficient vehicle. As per the alterations in the design, the centre of gravity has been lowered toward the front, that makes the BT-50 more stable.

Mazda BT-50 can be equipped with 4X2 and 4X4 models. Moreover, front-wheel-drive engine grade comes in 7 variants, whereas, the all-wheel-drive engine grade comes in 8 variants. Along with this, the first two trims of 4X2 base grades are powered by the gutsy 2.2-litres 16 valve DOHC inter-cooled turbocharged diesel engine that can produce a maximum power of 110 kW at 3,700 rpm and torque of 375 Nm at 1,500 - 2,500 rpm. And rest of the variants are powered by the punchy 3.2-litre 20 valve DOHC inter-cooled turbo diesel engine that can produce a whopping power of 147 kW at 3,000 rpm and torque of 470 Nm at 1,750 - 2,500 rpm. As per the trim, you can get a rugged 6-speed manual transmission or smooth 6-speed automatic transmission system. And, the prices of BT-50 ranges from $38,460 - $62,750. 

The 4x4 grades are powered by the latest electronic Locking Rear Differential (eLRD) that gives you maximum traction on rough terrain. You can switch between 4X4 and 4X2 drive at the flick of a switch, that too without stopping the vehicle. When you turn on the all-wheel-drive system then the torque is distributed evenly between the rear wheels, and even if one wheel loses grip, the other will continue to provide power, returning the wheel to get traction on the ground.

Mazda BT-50 is specially built to handle the difficult driving conditions with intelligent driver aids like dynamic stability control that helps maintain traction in all conditions by controlling the engine power and applying braking force to individual wheels to avoid skidding or loss of grip, and roll stability control that monitors your driving data and applies appropriate measures to help prevent rollover. Moreover, in case of heavy loading when your cargo raises Mazda BT-50’s centre of gravity, the load adaptive control works perfectly.   Just like it, the trailer sway control regulates braking and torque to correct any side-to-side swinging movement of towed loads. And, keeps it on the track. 

Moreover, you'll also get standard ABS brakes that work in tune with the electronic brake-force distribution that harmonizes braking to vehicle load. While emergency brake assist advances stopping power when emergency braking is sensed, and the emergency stop signal activates the hazard lights to signal following drivers of unforeseen deceleration.
