2020 Hyundai Tucson’s pricing and specs are official for Australia
Hyundai Australia has revealed the pricing and other details of the upgraded 2020 Tucson line-up. The notable upgrade in the entire range now features the brand’s own SmartSense package as standard. Replacing the previous generation’s Tucson Go, the Active variant is now the new 2020 Tucson line-up’s base version. The car now gets a lot of quality safety tech including the avoidance assist and forward collision warning.
Further, there are Elite and Highlander versions, which are the manufacturer’s top-end players. Both have interurban and city autonomous emergency braking system that features pedestrian detection technology. The standard autonomous emergency braking can operate between 8kmph to 65kmph.
Moreover, the forward collision warning also helps to apply the brakes automatically during the emergency at 81 to 180 kmph speed. The main aim is to reduce the severity of a collision. It provides an audio and visual warning to the driver if it detects any potentiality of a collision. As per the ANCAP’s strict safety assessments, this system needs to be present as standard.
The 2020 Tucson Active comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel along with a gear selector inside the cabin. There is a one-touch power window for the driver. The car rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Rest of the features are similar to the 2019 Tucson.
2020 Hyundai Tucson’s base model, the Active 2.0 GDi 2WD 6-speed manual carries a price tag of $29,290, while the top-end version Highlander 2.0 CRDi AWD 8-speed auto is priced at $48,800.
