2020 Audi Q2 Edition #2 pricing and specifications revealed

The Audi Q2 is one of the entry-level models to the vast range of the German automaker’s portfolio. However, this did not stop Audi from introducing a new variant of the Q2 small SUV. Welcome the Audi Q2 Edition #2.

The Audi Q2 Edition #2 is essentially a package that adds some extra fitments to jack up the small SUV. Some of the very important additions are 19-inch alloy wheels which get black trims to offer good contrast. Visually, it looks more or less similar to the other variants in the lineup.

Mechanically, the Edition #2 package will be available in both the 35 TFS and bigger 40 TFSI Quattro powertrain variants. That said, there won’t be any changes in the power output for the car. This means, the 35 TFSI will continue to feature a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine that will be capable of producing a maximum power of 148 hp at 6,000 RPM, along with a peak torque of 250 Nm, which starts coming in at just 1,500 RPM.

On the other hand, the bigger 40 TFSI Quattro powertrain has a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine that produces 188 hp at 4,200 RPM and a maximum torque of 320 Nm at the same 1,500 RPM. Transmission in both the models is handled by a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox.

The special edition model gets enhanced features, like side assist safety technology and a convenience key, which will help in making the SUV an apt car for the city. It receives similar technology to the standard model in the form of MMI navigation, Audi’s smartphone interface, Google services, a Wi-Fi hotspot and Audi Connect technology.

The pricing of this Audi Q2 Edition #2 is a slight premium over the standard. The regular Q2 35 TFSI is priced at $41,950, while the Edition #2 gets a tag of $44,550. Similarly, the 40 TFSI Quattro sport is priced at $49,400, but the special edition will be sold at $52,400.

Audi is even offering a 3-year or 5-year service package for the Q2 Edition #2 at $1,580 or $2,140, respectively.
