Toyota Corolla Sedan

Toyota unveiled the 2019 Corolla Sedan in China and it is expected to reach the Australian shores in the last quarter of 2019. The new-gen Corolla will be offered with an orthodox 2.0-litre petrol engine and is also expected to be available as a petrol-electric hybrid. The four-door sedan was showcased in two versions - XSE and Prestige XLE. Exterior features include a slimmer A-pillars, a lower beltline, and repositioned side mirrors. Inside the 2019 Corolla, the most noticeable change is the new tablet-style touch-screen on the dashboard, rather than a screen embedded in the centre stack. The instrument panel is much slimmer than earlier and the seats are also adjusted to offer more comfort, as they are lower and more rearward. The 2.0 petrol engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and 10-speed CVT transmission. Toyota claims that the 2019 Corolla consumes 6.8litres/100km as a six-speed manual and 6.4litres/100km as a CVT. The full Toyota Safety Sense package will also be offered with the 2019 Corolla sedan. The official prices are yet to be revealed by the company.
