The seven seater SUV for driving enthusiasts
Before finalising the Mazda CX-8, I was strictly out for a seven seater vehicle with more focus on function over form. However, in my opinion, the Mazda CX-8 has got a great road presence which matches its utility, thus making a practical and eye pleasing option at the same point. However, I do found the alloy wheels to be not so appealing as the rest of the design. Also, the ground clearance could have been a bit higher to add in its road presence. The real magic for me lies in the cabin of the Mazda CX-8, for the seven seater crossover has a great blend of space, comfort, quality and features. For me, the CX-8’s third row of seats have the best under thigh and back support, which is good enough for two full sized adults as well. The overall ambience of the cabin feels supremely rich with great quality materials and nice feel-good features. Another trait of the Mazda CX-8 which quite surprised me is the way it drives. For a vehicle of this size and dimensions, the Mazda CX-8 is a nice vehicle when it comes to driving dynamics. The CX-8 feels agile on corners and stable on flat stretches, with almost negligible body roll.
