Mitsubishi Triton Toby Price edition revealed

Toby Price, an Australian off-road and enduro motorcycle racing world champion has associated with the automaker Mitsubishi. All to build his ute named Mitsubishi Triton Toby Price Edition. He has been an ambassador for the brand for two years.

Price is a two-time winner of the Dakar Rally, taking out the Bikes class in 2016 and 2019. The new Triton Toby edition is based on GLS 4x4 Dual Cab version of the revised 2020 Mitsubishi Triton, it will be available on sale from October 1 and is limited to 500 units in the country.

On the exterior, the new edition comes with revised styling:

• Black sports bar and black nudge bar
• LED light bar
• Tinted bonnet protector and weather shields
• Toby Price logo on each rear fender
• Soft tonneau cover

The Triton Toby Price Edition engine is backed by the same 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder producing 180 PS and 430 Nm of torque, paired with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

The Triton Toby Price Edition color choice includes- Sunflare Orange, Graphic Grey, and White Diamond. The updated styling appointments are fitted in Australia by Autocare before dispatching the vehicles to the dealers. 

Inside the cabin, the special edition Triton specs include premium fabric seats, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, 7.0-inch touch-screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital radio and four USB ports.

The Triton Toby Price edition price starts from $50,640 plus on-road costs. It is $3640 expensive than the GLS on which it is based, which is priced at $46,990 plus on-road costs.

On the safety front, the model is well equipped with the following appointments:

• Autonomous emergency braking
• Blind-spot monitoring
• Lane change assist
• Lane departure warning 
• Driver-assist functions
• Two ISOFIX child seat anchorages in the rear seat
• Front and rear airbag coverage

Toby Price can be seen in several TV commercials of Mitsubishi Triton and in the recent one, he was shown on the passenger seat while the car performs different stunts.
