Mitsubishi recalled Pajero 2017-18
Mitsubishi has recalled the Pajero SUV for the model year 2017-18 due to the concern about the welding strength on the front right-hand lower control arm. As reported, the welding strength of the vehicle is not adequate, and it may lead the front right side suspension lower control arm to fail at one of the weld joints. If the lower control arm fails, the functioning of steering might be affected, which further can increase the chance of accident or injury for the drivers and other road users.
A VIN list of total 6384 vehicles (available for sale between 21 November 2016 - 30 July 2019) is provided by the automaker which may get affected from the aforementioned defect. The vehicle owners of the affected cars can contact the nearest dealer and organize a free fix of the issue. For more information, consumers can call Mitsubishi Motors Australia on 1800 931 811. Consumers can connect with their nearest Mitsubishi dealer on 1300 131 211, then follow the prompts to select option 2, and then enter their postcode. Further, the original notice provided by the company can also be checked.
The Mitsubishi Pajero has been part of Australia’s greatest adventures for long. The vehicle runs a 3.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, producing 189 hp of power and 441 Nm of peak torque. Other features include 4WD, 7 seats, Apple car play, reverse camera, full leather trim, reverse sensors, electric seats, climate control air conditioning, electronic Sunroof, 12 speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system, automatic high beam lights, heated front seats, beautifully finished with alloy wheels and side steps.
