Bentley ends the production of Mulsanne Range with a special 2020 edition
Bentley puts an end to its Mulsanne variant sedan and the iconic V8 engine by introducing a limited run 6.75 Edition Mulsanne. The vehicle is limited to 30 units and features the current generation of the V8 engine that first appeared in the Bentley S2 in 1959.
The V8 engine has been in production ever since its arrival with S2, marking its run for over 61 years, albeit with significant updates and upgrades over time. The current generation of the engine displaces a total of 6.75 litres, producing a total of 530 hp.
Bentley's Mulliner customisation department will design the limited-edition 6.75 Mulsanne. Outside, the car comes wrapped in gloss black and bright chrome finish in the grille along with a dark tint for the Flying B ornament over the bonnet. Additionally, the car gets Mulliner radiator and exhaust finishers.
The car rolls on 21-inch, five-spoke wheels that sport a bright machined finish and black pockets. One can also notice chrome badging across the exterior along with 6.75 Edition logos present on the headrests, surface, engine bay, and puddle lights. Also, the car features welcome lighting that flashes the unique edition name.
Under the hood, the car is powered by the current generation of the V8 that produces a maximum power of 530 hp along with peak torque of 1099 Nm. Additionally, the standard silver intake cover of the engine gets dressed in black, with the signature of brand CEO over the engine number plaque.
Special touches on the Mulsanne 6.75 Edition include drawings of the engine in the clock and some of the gauges. Moreover, the car also gets miniature versions of the engine's oil cap for ventilation controls that resemble similarities to the predecessor V8.
Inside, the interior of the car is provided with four single-colour options, namely Beluga, Imperial Blue, Fireglow, or Newmarket Tan. The customer’s desired colours shall be contrasted with the silver theme, which includes silver seat piping and silver sheen. Also, the instrument panel of the limited run is coloured in high-gloss Grand Black.
After the successful completion of production and delivery of the 30 cars, the Flying Spur variant shall take over the place of the top-tier offering by Bentley. Lastly, there have been no comments on the pricing of the limited edition car.
