The standard variants namely xDrive30i, 30d, and 40i come with Vernasca leather upholstery finishes and sports leather packed steering. The Sensatec instrument panel with Aluminium tetragon interior trim finishers and door sill finishers with the “M” logo adds elegance to the interiors of the car. Floor mats in velour, automated air control and adjustable and heat-enabled sports seats for the driver and front passenger adds extra comfort to the ride.

With the latest generation X6 coming to the Australian market in three different trim levels, the SUV cum coupe car has a completely renovated look with bulgier heaps and an aerodynamic finish to the body and the panels redefined. The gradient of the roof has changed and the windscreen is now inclined at a shallower angle. The dual chrome finished trapezoidal exhausts on either side and the signature BMW ornamented kidney grilles add an aggressive look to the car. The X6 comes with an adaptive sports suspension, and the xDrive driving tech with intelligent sensors adapt to driving conditions on any kind of roads. The DSC sensors prevent any over or understeering possibilities and the Servotronic power steering provides a good grip on the road. The Dynamic Damper Control and run-flat safety tires add extra relief to the driver.

The BMW X6 is powerful from its core. The base model is the 30d diesel, which uses a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder mill. This engine churns out 195 kW of power and 620 Nm of torque. The second in the line is 40i petrol, which produces 250 kW of power and 450 Nm of torque.

The range-topping model is the sporty M50i, which makes use of a 4.4-litre, 8-cylinder mill that is capable of thumping out a humongous power of 390 kW, along with a maximum torque of 750 Nm. The transmission is handled by an 8-speed sports automatic gearbox for all the engine variants.

The M50i is so powerful that it is capable of doing 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 4.3 seconds, which is brisk, for sure.

BMW has put special emphasis on the braking and safety of its car in the latest launches. The X6 comes with sport brakes and ABS, and inner vented front and rear brakes with Dynamic Traction and Stability Control to keep balance and provide excellent and safe braking. Front, side and knee airbags for the driver, and head airbags for the two rows of seats behind, with seat occupancy detection and Dynamic braking lights, add extra safety to the ride.
