Understated yet flashy

Before zeroing my final decision on the Hyundai Sonata, I was thinking of waiting for a few more time, and go for a similarly sized and specced but pricier European sedan. However, post a test drive, the Sonata instantly clicked my heart, for the polished driving experience and fabulous back seat experience. While the Sonata has a coupe like stance and roofline, the lower seating posture makes the back seat quite spacious. While I am not a big fan of the cascading grille of the Sonata, the big length of the car gives it a commanding stance, giving me an instant respect on the road. However, I do feel that Hyundai has toned down the visual drama in the interior cabin as compared to the previous generation model that my brother has owned in the past. It is not as dramatic and funky looking as before, the new model still has got a very sophisticated looking dashboard.
