A great package with its own flaws
I owned the previous generation Ford Escape for 7 years and exchanged it for the newest iteration last year. Tried the likes of CR-V, Tuscon, and CX-5 but I had already had that connection with Ford and Escape so decided to bring home another Escape. Because it is a new model the engine and power are definitely better. Just love the start - go technology. The power steering has also got better on the new model. Fuel efficiency is great and voice commands work like a charm, especially in crowded situations. Now the things that I don’t quite like, Apple CarPlay is not as refined and effective as Android Auto. Receiving text messages is a pain with Apple CarPlay, but this an issue that has to be addressed by Apple. Service costs are high and the parts are not only expensive but also not always available. After almost one year of the new Escape, I’d say the new model is just as good if not better.
