The heated front seats and steering wheels are only available with the Ti grade of Stelvio. In terms of infotainment, you’ll get an 8.8-inch touchscreen, 8-speaker sound system with mid and low trim and 400W 10-speaker sound system with subwoofer. The 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system is optional with Stelvio. Further, the connectivity and navigation features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 3D navigation, USB ports for both front and rear passengers. With all these features on board, Stelvio’s cabin gets more practical and comfortable. However, on the flip side, the noise levels rise while driving on highways and deters the cabin comfort that Alfa Romeo promises. 

The exterior design of Stelvio might not be the best in the SUV segment. But, it’s unique in every sense. The simplicity that is blended in the front fascia reflects the perfect balance with the signature styling of Alfa Romeo SUVs. While the rear fascia displays voluptuous treatment and amplifies the sporty character of Stelvio.

The exterior looks a bit compact when compared with other SUVs in the segment. But, that doesn’t mean Stelvio is in any way inferior looking. Instead, the concise appearance of this SUV is one big differentiating factor. The traditional values are well preserved in the Stelvio’s styling. The trilobe front grille outlines the heritage of Alfa Romeo cars. While the lines over the body help in achieving good drag coefficient. The base grades of Stelvio come with striking 19-inch 10-Spoke alloy wheels, and the top trim takes it further with 20-inch Sport alloy wheels. The standard exterior features of Stelvio include 23W Bi-Xenon headlamps that come with Adaptive Front Lighting System and keeps your vision in line with the road ahead. The list also includes door handle courtesy light, power-folding mirrors, and headlight washer. The fog lights are only available with diesel engine. While the panoramic sunroof is optional across the lineup of Stelvio. 

The ride quality of Stelvio is not as composed as you expect. The Alfa link double wishbone suspension in the front and Alfa link vertical rod suspension in the rear optimizes the ride and handling. The weight is equally distributed on both axels to give you well-balanced feel while driving this SUV. The ride might not be the best in the segment, but Stelvio’s firm handling is responsive and offer good cornering ability. Despite its big size, this SUV remains in control irrespective of the road conditions. 

Being available in three grades, Stelvio offers you a different driving experience and performance with each variant. The base grade is paired with the 2.0L turbo petrol engine that can produce the maximum power of 148 kW @ 4,500 rpm and torque of 330 Nm at 1750 rpm. The mid-grade come with 2.2L turbo diesel engine that can deliver maximum power of 154 kW at 3,750 rpm and torque of 470 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The top-trim comes paired with the same petrol engine but produces top-notch power and torque in the lineup. It can produce power of 206 kW at 5250 rpm and torque of 400 Nm at 2250 rpm. All the grades come with all wheel drive configuration and offer a warranty and roadside assistance of 3 years/150,000 km.

The braking capacity of Alfa Romeo Stelvio is governed by 330 x 28 mm ventilated disc brakes that come with two-piston floating calipers in the front wheels, and 320 x 22 mm ventilated disc brakes with single-piston floating calipers in the rear wheel. The diesel variant somehow offers a different setup in the rear wheels. It gets smaller 292 x 22 mm ventilated disc brakes with single-piston floating calipers. To further enhance the braking of Stelvio, Alfa Romeo has kept ABS, EBD, and Vehicle Stability Control System standard on all grades. Stelvio is built tough and strong and its 5-star ANCAP ratings reflect the same. The active safety features include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Integrate Braking System, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning. With all these tech complementing the safety of Stelvio, it proves to be a good companion as a family SUV. 

Stelvio is very comfortable to drive on both freeways and busy roads. The handling adapts as per your driving behaviour and keeps you tuned with the road ahead. Being sporty in looks and nature, Stelvio is also a good fit as a family SUV. It offers practical and spacious cabin, and the comfortable seats are complemented with standard lumbar support. However, the quality of the material isn’t the same as you expect from Quadrifoglio. But, being priced much lower than the later one, Stelvio is still an excellent SUV with a unique persona.
