Skoda Superb liftback sedan & wagon recalled over faulty signals
We just reported the Mitsubishi Triton being recalled over some faulty wiring, and now, Skoda has issued a recall for the Superb sedan and wagons that were manufactured between 2015-2018. A total of 395 units of the Superb has been recalled.
The fault in the Skoda Superb is related to the front turn signal indicators, which may fail to work. Also, the vehicle system might not be able to detect the failure. This means, no warning lights or sound alerts would be on. Due to this problem, there might be a high risk of road accidents, causing danger to the life of both the occupants and pedestrians. The recall has been lodged with the ACCC.
The automaker is getting in touch with the owners of the models that might be affected by the issue to execute the inspection and required replacement. Alternately, you can also get in touch with the concerned team at Skoda by dialing 1800 290 749, the hotline number for Skoda Recall Campaign. Help is available on this hotline from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 8 pm.
The Skoda Superb is powered by a 4-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine that can churn out a maximum power of 280 PS. There is also a smaller engine option that produces 220 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque.
