Land Rover Discovery modified by Vilner on special demand
Vilner is a popular car modifier, and many of its past works have made it to the news. One of the latest models to be trending is a Land Rover Discovery in the previous generation attire. But the fact of the matter is that this model did have some challenges to be taken care of.
To start with, the primary requirement of the owner client was to have subtle modifications, despite being noticeably different than the standard. So, to rise to the task, Vilner made a great bit of focus on the interior and cabin.
The first difference that you would notice in this modified Land Rover Discovery is the usage of brown-coloured leather upholstery with a 3D diamond-shaped pattern. The centre console, door insides and steering wheel get wooden inserts. Even the roof and the sun visor has been updated with Alcantara leather wraps.
Apart from these, there aren’t many changes made in the SUV. Mechanically, the presently sold Australia-bound Discovery gets two engine options. The base engine is a 2.0-litre powertrain that produces 240 PS of power, along with 430 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the bigger 3.0-litre engine makes 302 PS of maximum power, besides churning out a whopping 700 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent down to the wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
It should be noted that the owner must have had a very close connection with his Land Rover Discovery, which might have caused it to have Vilner update rather than buying a whole new model. It was also instructed to the modifier that it should be evident as a Vilner project.
