Jeep Australia reduces service prices of its SUV range

Jeep is a premium automaker everywhere around the world and the story is no different in Australia as well. However, if you thought that the maintenance and servicing of the automaker’s cars are expensive, here is good news.

Jeep Australia has reduced the service cost of its SUV range by up to $1370 on a 5-year term. The automaker has mentioned that this has been done to enhance the trust of its customers. It will attract new customers as well as it covers all of the 2020 models that get out of the dealerships.

According to the new service pricing scheme, both the diesel and petrol models of the Jeep Compass come with annual service intervals that cover five visits to the workmen. However, the distance limit on the petrol model is short with a 12,000 km interval, while the diesel has a distance interval of 20,000 km. The entire service contract costs $1,995, or $399 individually. This brings the cost down by $600.

On the other hand, the 2.4-litre and 3.2-litre powertrains of the Cherokee have similar distance cap on the services and the total cost for five services is the same $1,995, which is down by $655 over the previous cost.

The same goes for all the Grand Cherokee models (4x2 and 4x4). The cost for five visits has been set as a standard $1,995, which is a $600 cut for the base models and $1,020 for the bigger V8 models.

The Grand Cherokee diesel (just like the Compass diesel) has a longer 20,000 kms interval and the price of the 5-year package costs $2,995, which is a cut by $1,290. However, the biggest let down for the enthusiasts and prospectives is the Wrangler. The 2.2 diesel model of the off-roader costs the same as before, while the bigger 3.6 petrol is $500 premium over the last package.

It is to be noted that Jeep has not been able to churn out good sales numbers lately. The automaker sold 5,519 cars in 2019, but the sale percentage has risen by 0.6%.
