Fiat 500 Collezione Fall/Winter Edition confirmed for Australia

Fiat 500 is getting another special edition and this time it will arrive in the Collezione Fall/Winter Edition form. It is going to be a limited edition car as the Italian automobile manufacturer has allowed only 30 units for the Australian market. 

The car will be available in the local market from  August 1 and it is based on a model, which was revealed in 2018 for the European market. The new trims are inspired "by the colours of autumn and winter". Also, they will come in both the hatch as well as the convertible option and 15 units of each of the variants will be sold in Australia.

Design-wise, the 500 Collezione Fall/Winter Edition features a dual-tone Bordeaux and Grey Solid look having the copper accents. Chrome inserts are present on the bumper as well as the bonnet lines. It rides on the 16-inch alloy wheels having a copper finish. The car also comes with body-coloured side mirror casings. At the rear, there is a ‘Collezione’ badge that provides a distinctive look. Furthermore, the open-top models come with a soft grey top.

Getting inside the car, there is a ‘500’ logo along with piping on the seats. The vehicle also features grey coloured dashboard with copper liner, striped seat inserts and floor mats with Bordeaux embroidered ‘Collezione’ logo. There is a 7-inch UConnect touchscreen display unit as the part of the infotainment system, which has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

Mechanically, the coaster gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated gasoline engine, which is capable of pumping out a maximum power of 68 hp and the peak torque is 102Nm. The power is transmitted to the wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual gearbox.

The starting price of the Fiat 500 is $21,990 for the hatch (manual), while it goes up to  $27,490 for the Convertible (automatic) version.
