2020 Mercedes-AMG GT pricing and specs revealed

Mercedes-AMG unveiled the refreshed GT coupe and roadster in November last year and now announced the pricing and specs. The new two-door vehicle boasts the refreshed styling and  upgraded technical and performance features. It is available in GT S, GT C, and GT R trim.

Let’s have a look at the mechanical bits of different trims. The base GT S is powered by a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine paired with a seven-speed '7G-DCT' transmission, producing 514 PS of power and 670 Nm of torque. The new Mercedes-AMG GT specs sheet covers:

  • Latest digital instrument infotainment system integrating a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch central display
  • 10-speaker sound system
  • Sunroof
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Electric and heated seats
  • Front-mounted camera
  • LED headlights
  • Alloy wheels

Standard Safety appointments include adaptive AMG suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, an adjustable exhaust, and carbon-ceramic brakes.

Moving on to GT C, it comes with Coupe and Roadster appearance and holds the capacity to churn out 550 PS of power and 680 Nm of torque with the same powertrain. Over to GT S, it incorporates AMG performance seats and an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel inside. Besides this, the firm offers AMG Dynamic Plus package as standard equipment, comprising dynamic engine and transmission support, a sharper steering tune, and rear-wheel steering.

The top-spec GT R Coupe is powered by the same bi-turbo V8 engine delivering 577 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque. This comes with an upgraded chassis, a more energetic aerodynamics package, and better racing rolling stock. Moreover, the interiors are furnished with blacked-out Night Package, which renders the gloss black trim, leather and microfiber seat trim, and heating for the front seats.
