Mazda revealed the pricing and specifications of CX-30
Mazda has finally announced the pricing and specifications of its highly anticipated CX-30 SUV. The model gets its place in between the subcompact CX-3 and the compact CX-5 in the Mazda SUV lineup. The price starts at $29,990 before on-road costs.
Dimensionally, the CX-30 is 120 mm longer and 30 mm wider when compared to the Mazda 2-based CX-3 SUV. Also, to support better driving in all possible forms of terrain, the CX-30 gets an 85 mm longer wheelbase. However, both siblings get the same roof height. The Mazda CX-30 is highly competitive and a very close to the dimensions of the Kia Seltos.
The model gets a more severely forward-canted rear window design along with a chunkier black-plastic body to give the car a meaner and sportier look. The aerodynamical design of the vehicle, differentiates it significantly from its other crossover siblings.
Mazda CX-30 comes with impressive and updated technology, both in terms of connectivity and driver-assistance features as standard. The vehicle is powered by a Skyactiv-G 2.5 litre engine, generating a standard power output of 186 hp along with an impressive 252 Nm of torque. The other engine option is a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, producing a power output of 152 hp and peak torque of up to 200 Nm. While the users get a front-wheel-drive option for both the trim levels, an optional all-wheel drive is available for the 2.5L trim.
Coming to the pricing of the car, the range starts from the G20 Pure, priced from $29,990 before on-road costs. The base variant of the CX-30 rides on the 16-inch alloy wheel and the interior gets a similar 8.8-inch infotainment system and 7.0-inch digital instrument binnacle as the CX-3.
Moving up to the G20 Evolve, it is priced at $31,490 before on-road costs and sports 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, and an auto-dimming rear mirror amongst other features as standard.
Lastly, the G20 Touring gets placed at $34,990 before on-roads, while the G25 Touring costs $36,490 as a two-wheel drive vehicle or $38,490 with all-wheel drive.
Finally, the range-topping Astina offered with the G20 engine gets a price tag of $38,990 before on-roads and the G25 engine variant comes at $41,490 for front-wheel drive and $43,490 for all-wheel drive.
