2020 Fiat 500 gets a new variant in Australia
2020 Fiat 500 gets a new variant named Club, added to its lineup in Australia. The new trim comes accompanied with extra pieces of equipment, more tech, and convenience for the Fiat 500 series.
The two variants, namely Lounge and Club, are offered in a convertible body style. Both the trims are powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 68 hp and generates peak torque of up to 102 Nm.
The four-cylinder engine of the Lounge hatch trim comes standard with a manual and dualogic automatic transmission while the Lounge convertible and Club feature automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive claims to touch the speed of 100 km per hour from an ideal start in a recorded 12.9 seconds in all the models.
The standard features for both the variants include a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster display, voice command, rear parking sensors, cruise control with speed limiter and a 7.0-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen which supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto amongst others.
When asked about their new offering, Guillaume Drelon, Director, Brand & Product Strategy for Fiat said, “We are thrilled to be able to offer additional features in the new Fiat 500 lineup that delivers a new level of sophistication,” Drelon also added. “The Fiat 500 is truly a fun expression of its owner, and with new technology and aesthetic refinements, it’s never looked better.”
Moving towards the Club, the new offering by Fiat gets a long list of standard features. The car rolls on 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, fixed glass roof with sunblind, and rain-sensing wipers along with automatic climate control feature. Outside, the vehicle gets a new chrome front grille surround, rear bumper insert, and sill plates.
Buyers of the Club will get an option to choose between two interior options, white fabric seats with black inserts and white stitching and black fabric seats with white inserts and Bordeaux stitching. Interestingly, users will also get an opportunity to coat their Club in the new Powder Pink exterior paint.
Lastly, the 2020 Fiat lineup comes between the price range of $19,250 to $27,250. The automaker aims to boost their declined sales of the Fiat 500 with its new offering.
