2020 Audi RS7 revealed, expected to hit Australia during mid-2020
The all-new 2020 Audi RS7 is ready to roll out at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the four-door coupe twin to the wagon-bodied RS6. The powertrain is equipped with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as RS6, delivering 599 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque. The engine is enlarged by mild-hybrid technology which combines a 48V belt alternator starter that can recover up to 16 PS of power under gentle acceleration. Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed Tiptronic auto transmission with torque converter, including a launch control function.
On the exterior, the vehicle gets the slinky coupe-styled body of the regular A7 Sportback and spins the dial up to 11. At the front, there is an aggressive honeycomb grille insert, larger intakes on bumper sides, and blacked-out accents. LED headlights are fitted as standard, with the choice of Matrix LED headlights and LED tail-lights to provide stronger illumination, dynamic 'scrolling' indicators, and specific light sequences at the time of locking and unlocking the vehicle. RS7 offers 13 standard exterior paint finishes, including the model-specific Nardo grey and Sebring black crystal. As standard, the side mirrors are kept gloss black. And, Audi rings and RS logos in gloss black are available upon request.

The RS7 cabin takes the build of A7's cabin, and include special displays and screen menus along with sportier trim and design elements. The sports leather steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles is available including buttons for the new RS1 and RS2 configurable drive modes. RS and RS7 logos can be found throughout the cabin, whereas the Audi Sport emblem can be seen on the ground when doors are open. The sport seats are trimmed in 'black pearl' Nappa leather with rhombus pattern and RS embossing, and also perforated Valcona leather with honeycomb pattern is offered to consumers.
The five-seat variant is also available with the optional three-seat rear bench. The luggage area behind the seats is 535 litres which can be expanded up to 1390 litres when the rear seats are folded. The all-new Audi RS7 provides more than 30 driver assistance systems, some optional and other standard in Europe, including adaptive cruise assist, intersection assist, lane change warning, curb warning, and a 360-degree camera system.
The model is all set to arrive in Europe in the first quarter of 2020 and Audi Australia is expected to have the new RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback during mid-2020.
