2020 Audi RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback unveiled, coming to Australia next year

Audi has unveiled its all-new RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback this week, the Australian launch seems to be happening in the coming year.

The 2020 Audi RS Q3 engine is backed by a 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 400 PS of power and 480 Nm of torque at 1,950-5,850 rpm. While its competitor new-gen Mercedes-AMG A45 delivers the power of 421 PS and torque of 500 Nm.

Both models can run 0-100 kmph in 4.5 seconds and assist by Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic multi-plate clutch automatic transmission. The models are based on 10 mm-lower sports suspension which is formed of a MacPherson design on the front with 1590 mm track and on the rear part, a four-link arrangement with 1583 mm track can be seen.

The option of choosing RS Sport Suspension Plus with Dynamic Chassis Control is available for buyers. The standard wheel size is 20 inches and the option of choosing 21-inch is also offered.

Audi RS models safety techs comprise of six-piston steel brakes with ventilated, perforated discs with the standard measure of 375mm at the front end while at the rear non-perforated discs measuring 310mm exists.

Inside the cabin, the new Audi RS designing include:

• RS embossed Nappa black leather and Alcantara accents with a honeycomb pattern and paired headrests
• Contrast stitching in red or blue
• Red or blue Alcantara options for the door panels and armrests
• Inlay options include Aluminium Race, anthracite, piano black or carbon

The new 2020 Audi RS Q3 color option consists of eight choices including RS-specific Kyalami green (paging green fiend James Wong) and Nardo grey. And, Audi badges are finished in black at both ends of the vehicle.

Audi Australia division has announced that the new RS Q3 models are coming to Australia in the mid of 2020. Before this, new Q3 is ready to launch in the fourth quarter of 2019. On the point of pricing of new models, nothing has been disclosed yet.
