Renault Clio

The cabin of the Clio has gained some significant enhancements. It magnifies the French flair with premium quality materials to give you a premium feel of the interiors. Also, with the new Clio, you'll get the bigger 9.3-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth pairing, and USB support. The R-Link software further makes it easier for you to control the in-cabin function right from your smartphone. These enhancements take forward the Clio from shoddy to cheerful. And, when you compare the Clio with its rivals like Polo, Renault has undoubtedly made some significant improvements to take on the competition. Plus, with the extended list of standard features, such as height-adjustable driver seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and split-folding rear seats, you can feel the premium essence of the Clio from the base grade. 

You won't find many differences between the fourth-generation and fifth-generation Clio. It displays the same intriguing and alluring exterior treatment, which still looks modern and stylish. However, the new Clio is about 12 mm shorter than the previous one. Except this, even the exterior features are the same as of the previous generation. You'll get the Pure Vision LED headlights which amplify its presence and gives you a clear view of the road ahead. While the 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels perfect the side profile of the Clio. Likewise, the rear fascia stands out and completes the art of exit with new distinctive taillights. The new changes also include a new design for the doors. While the boot lid is now a little smaller than before, which might bother you while loading and unloading big things. You'll get a bunch of standard features with the Clio, and it includes a rear spoiler, body-coloured door mirrors and bumpers, chromed boot lit strip, and grained black B-pillar. 

Clio has received some significant improvements inside and out. But the chassis still jiggles as the road conditions grow harsh. It results in the uncomfortable ride and also cripples the handling of the Clio. However, when driving on the average Australian roads, you'll find this hatchback perfect for the daily commute. The power steering actively works as per the driver input and gives you excellent feel while bending over the curves. 

Like the other cars of Renault, Clio is also available in three grades Zen, Life and Intens. The Life model comes paired with the 0.9L turbocharged engine and manual transmission, and this configuration can deliver the power of 88 hp. Though, the output of the engine isn't best for driving on the highways. You'll surely enjoy the responsiveness and fuel-efficiency while driving in the city. The Life, Zen, and Intens models, when paired with the automatic transmission, gets the bigger and more powerful 1.2L engine. This engine can produce a maximum output of 118 hp and is also fuel-efficient in the segment. 

With the reinforced structure of the Clio, Renault has ensured the safety of the passengers. With driving assistance specific features like Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition, you'll feel safe and secure while driving the Clio. In terms of the active and passive safety features, Renault Clio is furnished with passenger, driver, and side airbags to keep the passengers protected in case of collision. In addition to this, you'll also get the parking sensors and Vehicle Stability Control System. 

Renault Clio has grown smarter and more elegant than before. It has been revised to make it more attractive and comfortable for Australian drivers. However, the ride quality is almost similar to what we have witnessed in the previous generation of the Clio.
