Whereas the standard cargo volume is 377 litres, while with underfloor storage it can be increased to 455 litres.

Being a city crossover, Renault Captur is built by keeping in mind the challenges that city drivers face. In the front, the Pseudo MacPherson strut suspension and Torsion beam axle suspension in the rear are standard on both the grades. This setup ensures that the ride quality remains up to the notch. However, on the bumpy roads, you’ll feel a lack of refinements. Whereas, in terms of handling, Renault Captur makes use of the height and reach the adjustable steering wheel. It works fine, but with its rivals like Mazda CX-3, you’ll get more refined and robust steering feedback. 

Both the grades of Renault Captur are matched with a different set of engine and transmission. With the base grade, you’ll get the 0.9L turbocharged petrol engine coupled with the 5-speed manual transmission. This engine might feel a little underpowered, but it can excellently produce power of 66 kW at 5000 rpm and torque of 135 Nm at 2500 rpm. Whereas with the higher variant Intens, you’ll get the newly introduced and more potent 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine matched with the EDC dual-clutch automatic transmission. This new engine uses a set of technologies to enhance the driving dynamics and experience as well. The 1.3L engine can deliver maximum power of 110 kW at 5250 rpm and torque of 250 Nm at 1600 rpm. While the EDC automatic transmission ensures that you get the seamless power and performance as you press the throttle. Both grades of the Renault Captur are fuel-efficient, and the base grade can deliver combined ratings of 5.2L/100km while Intens can deliver fuel ratings of 5.4L/100km. 

Renault Captur is equipped with the 258mm x 22mm ventilated disc brakes in the front and 228mm x 38mm drum brakes in the rear wheels. The braking capacity of the Captur is further enhanced with high-tech features. It includes Anti-lock Braking System, Emergency Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Electronic Stability Control, and Anti-Slip Regulation.
