Volkswagen Touareg One Million edition revealed
Volkswagen has informed that Touareg production has crossed one million as the one-millionth unit has just passed the production line at its Bratislava, Slovakia’s facility. To make the occasion even more memorable, the carmaker has unveiled the Touareg One Million edition. The car comes with a range of added equipment, unique styling and exclusive badging.
Coming to its styling, new Touareg One Million edition gets the exclusive “One Million” badges on the B-pillars and sills. Other exterior revisions include a gloss black diffuser, a unique Sechura Beige paint colour, new wheel arch trims, and smoked rear lights. The car also features two alloy wheel options as 21-inch “Suzuka” or 20-inch “Bogota”.
Stepping inside, it comes with a retrimmed dashboard, a new leather steering wheel, and diamond-stitched leather upholstery. Also, the brand’s latest 15-inch infotainment system along with a 12-inch digital instrument binnacle are present as standard. The unique key cover and a host of fresh silver trim are some of the other features included in the special edition.
Volkswagen Touareg One Million is priced at €80,880 which is equivalent to $128,794 for the V6 TDI variant that churns out a maximum power of 281 hp. However, there are no chances of arriving in the Australian market in the near future, as per the local division of Volkswagen confirmed.
While Australian people are familiar with the Volkswagen Touareg, which was first launched in 2002 and it has been 17 years since then, the car is in its third generation and as earlier mentioned the production phase of the vehicle is going on in the brand’s Bratislava plant in Slovakia. The key reason behind its success is its plethora of driver assistance and high-end connectivity features.
