This is the Lynk & Co’s “06”

Lynk & Co, a sub-brand by Geely, which is one of the biggest automakers in China, will soon launch its newest crossover, the 06 in Asia's largest country. It was back in 2017 when Lynk & Co came to fruition, and the brand is now preparing to make its debut in Europe in 2020. While the crossover will make its official debut only in the early part of 2020, some images revealing the exterior of the all-new Lynk & Co 06 has surfaced over the internet.

Lynk & Co 06

Standing almost as big as the Nissan Qashqai, the upcoming Lynk & Co 06 is quite different than the automaker's other crossovers like the 01, 02, and the 05. While the quasi-floating roof is still there, albeit following a different approach, the new 06 has ditched the hockey-stick kind of tail lamps that its siblings 01 and 02 sport. Instead of the hockey-stick tail lamps, the Lynk & Co 06 gets new units that are reminiscent of those of the Lexus LC500.

Speaking of the dimensions, the Lynk & Co 06 stands 4340 mm long, 1820 mm wide, and features a 2540 mm wheelbase. Interestingly enough, the 06 is smaller than its sibling 01. Reports also suggest that the crossover gets the same Compact Modular Architecture that is also found on the Volvo XC40. If we talk about other brands, models with a bigger number in its title generally mean a bigger vehicle. However, that is not the case at Lynk & Co as the Chinese automaker look to defy the norms.

Lynk & Co 06 rear

As for the power, the upcoming Lynk & Co 06 is said to come housing a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine that will generate 172 hp of maximum power. The same engine will also come in a hybrid avatar where the powertrain will serve 189 hp of top power output to the crossover. We have also received an image that shows off the four different kinds of alloy wheel designs that will be on offer. Moreover, the two-tier headlamp assembly at the front gives us a glimpse of Porsche, doesn't it? Lynk & Co will also make its way to down under soon. However, the automaker hasn't given a date yet.
