Peugeot Australia confirms launch of 2019 308 GT
Peugeot Australia has confirmed the launch of its new 308 GT later this month with a fresh eight-speed automatic transmission, which is co-developed with Japan’s Aisin. According to Peugeot, the ‘EAT8’ frames on the outgoing six-speeder beginning with the reasonable addition of two extra ratios, along with “enhanced shift quality” and a 7 percent rise in fuel economy. The limited-edition Peugeot 308 GT will flaunt the new transmission, which never made it to Australia as part of the facelifted series. The local branch has not revealed complete specifications for the latest variant, through quick inspection of the Peugeot UK site tells us that it will come equipped with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which is capable of churning out 221 hp of maximum power and 285 Nm of peak torque.
