Peugeot Australia has finally affirmed the specs and price range of its all-new Peugeot 508 models - 508 GT Sportswagon and 508 GT Fastback. Both the variants are powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 224 PS at 5500 rpm and 300 Nm at 2750 rpm.  Through a new eight-speed automatic transmission supplied by Japan's Aisin, an exclusive front-wheel-drive is included. In terms of fuel usage, the automaker claims 100 km drive in 6.3 liters on the combined cycle and efficiently use a petrol particulate filter and in terms of speed, they asserted that Fastback can strike 100km/h in 8.1 seconds and Sportswagon can get that in 8.2 seconds, a bit slower.

Peugeot SW Front

GT Sportswagon commences with $55,990 showroom prices and GT Fastback starts with the showroom price tag of $53,990, the models are available in a variety of color choices including four greys, two blue, red, black and white. But, you have to pay an extra charge of $690 for metallic exterior finishings and an extra $1050 for premium paints-Pearl White and Ultimate Red. The no extra cost color choice is Hurricane Grey. A powered sun-roof can also be added to the luxury with an extra top-up of $2500. In these prices, you will also have five years unlimited kilometers warranty with five years of roadside assistance and five years of capped-price servicing, isn’t it great?

Fastback Front

Interior technology specs include a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, and a 10.0-inch central infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Standard equipment comprises of driver assistance systems, including a semi-autonomous highway driving assist that incorporates adaptive cruise and lane-keep assist functions, Nappa leather upholstery with massaging front seats, full-LED lighting rear, and front.
