New Bugatti Chiron variant expected at 2020 Geneva Motor Show

Bugatti cars have been expensive, be it the previous Veyron or the latter Chiron. However, the king of speed could entice the customers to buy these expensive beasts throughout their life cycle by bringing in special editions, be it one-off versions or limited ones. Yet, most of them were restricted to the visual updates only, except the Grand Sport Vitesse and Super Sport in the Veyron.

But unlike the predecessor, the Bugatti Chiron gets hardware updates. The Chiron has already received the Sport version upgrade, which is limited to 500 units only. The bodywork is different and the power has seen a bump too. Some examples of the sports car donning the updates are the La Voiture Noire (one-off model), Super Sport 300+, Centodieci and the Divo.

Moving on, the new year seems to be pretty interesting for the fans of the Buggati Chiron. Around a month back, the automaker released an image on Instagram that indicated to a derivative of the Chiron. To make things clearer, according to a new report made by ‘The Supercar Blog’, the Golf is not the only car that would be getting the “R” trim, the Bugatti model is up for the same treatment too.

We don’t know yet how soon we should be expecting the same. However, the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, which is scheduled next month, could be the right time to make the display. It would be slotted between the Chiron Sport and Super Sport 300+. The new derivative could have an updated aerodynamic package that could boost up handling, though it could compromise on the top speed.

The Bugatti car that could be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show 2020 might be the same as the one that was spotted at the O.R. Tambo International Airport in South Africa. It was one among many Bugattis in a group, though the taller rear end marked its difference. The tall rear could even indicate the placement of a rear wing in the place of an adjustable spoiler.

The Bugatti Chiron is an insanely powerful hypercar and is around 500 hp more powerful than the present F1 car. But despite this whopping power, it drives well at slow speeds.
