Mercedes-Benz to equip the V-Class with the MBUX system
Keeping its words to equip all of its models with the MBUX system slowly and steadily, Mercedes-Benz will soon roll out the V-Class with the much advanced and proclaimed MBUX multimedia system. While interested customers in the UK will be able to order the Mercedes-Benz V-Class with the MBUX multimedia system by the end of 2019, the van with the high-end multimedia system will arrive down under by June 2020.
It was the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter that was equipped with the MBUX multimedia system last year, and the V-Class is now following the suit. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class, also, will have the 7-inch or 10.25-inch screen option. Just like any other model out there, the V-Class will also get the “Hey Mercedes” or a steering wheel button for using the voice control, driver activity prediction, and much more.
Following the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, the MBUX multimedia system should make its way to all of the German automaker's vehicles "within a couple of years", said Daimler CEO Ola Källenius.
Once launched with the MBUX multimedia system, the V-Class will join the fleet that comprises of the likes of the A-Class, CLA-Class, B-Class, GLB, GLC, EQC, GLE, GLS, and Sprinter, all of which come equipped with the system. Moreover, we should also see the upcoming GLA-Class and the revisited 2020 E-Class to feature the MBUX multimedia system.
