Lamborghini recalls 2019 Urus over missing labels
The 2019 Lamborghini Urus has been recalled as the brand doubts that the labels on sun visors are missing. As per the manufacturer, a total of 83 cars do not have the label.
The brand said that the required labelling is missing on the car’s sun visor that instructs the consumer to avoid installing the rear-facing child seats in the front seats. Moreover, this is not mentioned in the owner’s manual too, so the carmaker fails to meet the ADR 73/00 regulations in the Australian market. Hence if an owner installs a rear-facing child seat in the passenger seat, the risk of the injury of the child will get increased during an accident.
As a solution to this problem, Lamborghini will contact the owners and instruct them to get a replacement of the owner’s manual and the visor.
To recall, the Lamborghini Urus is the best selling car of the brand with a massive global sales record of 2,693 units (during the last six months), whereas the manufacturer’s total sales count is 4,553 cars.
The car is claimed to be the “fastest SUV in the world”. It is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which is capable of delivering a maximum power of 641 hp along with a peak torque of 850 Nm. It completes the 0 to 100 kmph run in just 3.6 seconds before attaining the top speed of 305 kmph. The power is sent to all the wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The coaster comes with a price tag of $ 390,000.
