Koenigsegg Gemera confirmed for Australia, only five units up for grab
The Koenigsegg Gemera is a mega electric sports car which had its debut just a few days back. The automaker has now confirmed that the car is coming to the Australian shores in a very limited number. However, the bad news is, around half of them have already been sold.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is scarily powerful, thanks to its hybrid powertrain. There is a 2.0-litre, 3-cylinder, twin-turbo engine, along with three electric motors. The combined power output of the powertrain is a whopping 1,727 PS of power and 3,500 Nm of peak torque. The battery will be charged with the help of an 800-volt battery.
The engine is so well designed that the car can run on pure electric mode for 50 kilometres, that too at a speed of 300 kmph. The overall top speed as claimed by the automaker is 400 kmph, while the 0-100 kmph acceleration can be clocked in just 1.9 seconds.
The Koenigsegg Gemera is a 4-seater car with a very eye-catchy colour theme on the inside. The cabin has six airbags and there is an ISOFIX child seating setup as well. Parking assistance includes a reverse camera.
Koenigsegg had limited the number of units for the Australian market to 10 only. However, five of them have already been sold and the rest are up for grab. The mega car was slated for a display at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, which was cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak.
