Ferrari 812 GTS Spider V12 price unveiled, starts from $675,888

Ferrari has landed one more premium car in the Australian market to reap the benefits of increasing luxury car demand. The Italian sports car manufacturer revealed the new folding-hardtop 812 GTS at its Artarmon dealership on Sydney’s north shore recently. Though customers have to wait for a year to get their hands-on new GTS Spider.

Now the model is on display for the customers who have ordered it for more than a year ago without knowing the price and also to entice new ones. The brand has disclosed the 812 GTS Spider price this week only. It starts from $675,888 plus stamp duty and on-road costs, which means $65,000 higher than the 812 Superfast coupe on which it is based.

Nicole Craig, a media representative at Ferrari Australia says, “You don’t have to have an existing Ferrari garage (collection). You can be a new Ferrari owner to purchase this. This is to open the door for new Ferrari owners as well.”

Ferrari 812 GTS Spider is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 unit. Speaking about the performance, it produces 799 PS of power and 718 Nm of torque, same as the 812 Superfast coupe. Drive is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The firm claims the run of 0-100 kmph in just 3 seconds and a top speed of 340 Kmph which make it the most powerful convertible car available in automobile history.

Peter Sutton, Sales Manager of Ferrari Australasia’s quoted, “We are taking small orders on the vehicle through made-to-order business. However, we anticipate (the GTS) will be a similar volume to the Superfast, maybe more”. He further added, “I think there’s a Ferrari for every different Ferrari owner – some people like the coupes, some people like spiders.”
