Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer limited edition has hit the Australian shores

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Valiant Pacer, Chrylser has rolled out 50 limited edition 300 SRT sedans. Moreover, the good news is that the automaker will continue to offer the performance sedan next year following the sales of the limited edition units. "The limited-edition Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer (is) a celebration of the 50th Anniversary milestone of the iconic Valiant Pacer. Beyond this, the Chrysler 300 will continue to be available in Australia", cited Chrysler Australia.

If you're not familiar with the Valiant Pacer, the car, it was the 1960s and 70s when the car battled with Holden & Ford and tasted mixed success. Fast forward half a century and the sedan is now an affordable sports sedan up for grabs down under. Unlike the Valiant Pacer and the Ford Mustang, the V8 Holden Commodores and the Ford Falcons are nowhere to be seen now. Coming back to the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer limited edition, the performance sedan will be offered in white, grey, and black paint schemes. Also, each of the 50 units of the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer limited edition will come with a unique serial number.

Along with the car itself, Chrylser will also present the customers with a limited-edition framed tribute print and an elite Pacer keyring. The print incorporates both the original Valiant Pacer and the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer tribute edition standing proudly right in front of the old Chrysler factory in Adelaide. The print will also feature an individual build plate. "Marking the 50th anniversary of the much loved Valiant Pacer, we’re excited to celebrate such a milestone with this limited edition car – a revival of the Pacer nameplate for Australian motoring enthusiasts. This is truly a modern take on an Australian classic and we’re excited to bring the Pacer back in this exclusive run of fantastic looking vehicles", said Guillaume Drelon, Director of Product, Chrysler Australia.

Alongside the unique numbered build plate in the engine bay, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer will also vaunt "Pacer 392" decals. Also making way to the car are "Pacer 392" sill covers & floor mats and an exclusive edition plaque on the centre console. Powering the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer tribute edition is the same 6.4-litre Hemi V8 churning out 475 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 637 Nm. The Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer tribute edition is priced at $69,950 excluding the on-road costs, and the end of 2019 or early 2020 should see the arrival of the sedan at the dealerships in Australia.
