Bentley reveals Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition; production limited to 100 models

As a tribute to the 1929 Blower race car, Bentley has taken the wraps off the Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition by Mulliner.  The production of the car is limited to only 100 units and each of it comes with a gold plated number one set, which is placed on the Rotating Display. There is also fender badging with 18-carat gold plate.

In the Bentley’s Centenary trilogy, the Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition is the final car. The new car finds a unique place in Bentley’s history. It is the  No. 1 Blower, which is the inspiration for creating this nameplate. The coaster made an Outer Circuit record at the Brooklands racetrack in 1932.

This limited edition comes with a Centenary Pack along with having Carbon Body Kit, Bentley Black Line Specification. There is also a painted Number 1 front grille. The Centenary Pack features a lot of features including LED welcome lamps, wheel caps, steering wheel, gear lever, and key fob. At the rear, there are Centenary badges. The car rides on 22-inch MD wheels, which has Gloss Black or Cricket Ball finish.

Getting inside the car, one would be welcomed with a dual tone finish like the Beluga or Cricket Ball. It features Heritage hide on the door and seat pads. As mentioned earlier, there is 18-carat gold plated organ stops along with a gear lever and an Alcantara steering wheel.

Speaking of the oily bits, Continental GT Convertible Number 1 Edition comes with a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 TSI mill which is capable of providing a maximum power of 625 hp coming at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 900 Nm at 1,350 rpm to 4,500 rpm. Starting from 0, the car can hit the 100 kmph mark in just 3.8 seconds and can attain a maximum speed of 333 kmph. The mill sends the power to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
