Bentley recalls 2017 Continental Supersports

Bentley recently issued a recall notice for the Continental Supersports and Continental Supersports Convertible model year 2017 due to concern regarding power steering cooler hose. The company officials explained the defect as, “Due to incorrect manufacturing, Power Assisted Steering (PAS) cooler hose may detach from the stub pipe, causing the vehicle to leak hydraulic steering fluid.”

If the fluid leak happens, this could result in the loss of steering control or fire in the vehicle. And this may lead to an accident or injury to the vehicle occupants and other people on the road. The automaker has released a VIN list of 24 vehicles that can be affected by the defect mentioned above. 

The owners of the affected cars will get a notification from Bentley through mail requesting them to contact their nearest authorized dealer and schedule an appointment for inspection and repair of the vehicle free of cost. Further, the original notice provided by the company can also be checked.
