Australia to get the Fisker Electric SUV in 2022
It has been quite some time since Fisker announced its all-electric SUV. And, in the latest statement, Henrik Fisker, the founder of the company has announced to make the all-electric SUV available in Australia by 2022.
"We aim to make the world’s most sustainable vehicle, the 2021 Fisker Electric SUV. Priced below $40,000. The interior is incredibly spacious for its segment with recycled materials," Fisker tweeted.
Sait to be boasting a classic luxury formula, the Fisker Electric SUV at USD 40,000 (AUD 56,000) will be taking on the Tesla Model Y. A few details of the aesthetic aspect of the SUV have been made available with some teaser images. On the mechanical front, the all-electric SUV will get its juices from an 80 kWh battery pack, which, as a result, will equip the SUV with a range of around 480 km on a single full charge.
A full-length sunroof, dual-motor all-wheel-drive, and 22-inch alloy wheels will be some of the major highlights of the upcoming SUV by Fisker. The production will kick off in the year 2021 before the SUV hits various markets in 2022. UK will also get the electric SUV, said the American automaker.
