Alfa Romeo NRING Giulia and Stelvio to arrive in Australia soon
The popular carmaker, Alfa Romeo, will bring the ultra-limited NRING Giulia and Stelvio in the Australian market. The move to introduce these limited editions is for celebrating the models’ Nurburgring records. The cars have set the record to become the fastest four-door and fastest SUV across the globe, respectively. However, the saddest part of the news is that the carmaker will only bring three units of Stelvio NRING and four examples of Giulia NRING to the Australian market.
Guillaume Drelon, the brand and product strategy director said, “The NRING Limited Edition models take the Quadrifoglio line-up to the next level, honouring Alfa Romeo’s century-plus history in racing and highlighting the success it has had on the legendary racing circuit.”
Design-wise, both the NRING Giulia and Stelvio get the matte grey paint job. Carbon mirror covers and a carbon-fibre grille insert are present also. Both the cars draw the stopping power from carbon-ceramic brakes having the red callipers.
As for the engine, the two cars are powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine. The mill is capable of churning out a maximum power of 503 hp and the peak torque is 600 Nm.
There are some features that make the Stelvio and Giulia different. The former comes with dark Stelvio and Q4 badges along with a panoramic sunroof and rides on 20-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, the later comes with dark badging on the boot lid and an exposed carbon-fibre roof coasts over 19-inch alloy wheels.
Getting inside, both the NRING Giulia and Stelvio features carbon-backed Sparco racing seat sets that have black-and-red leather. The seats are also stitched in red and are also provided with Alcantara trim elements.
Alfa Romeo is likely to provide an 'Authenticity Certification’, which will be issued from the FCA Heritage department. According to the manufacturer, this will help the car to have 'Instant Classic' status.
